PharmFest is a paid event however, you can join the waitlist at no cost. Joining the waitlist does not provide a ticket to PharmFest. Tickets are first come, first serve.
What do I need to bring?
You will want to bring business cards, comfortable shoes, and socks if you plan on bowling. Bowling shoes are available.
What if I don't have my ticket?

reduced inventory waste, developed medication management
education for the nursing staff, and improved standards of practice to

In her current role at Shields, Angela excels in facilitating the delivery and management of high-cost, high-complexity medications. Dr. Ashley Garling graduated Rho Chi with honors from the MCV/Virginia Commonwealth University
School of Pharmacy. Her career path went from community pharmacy management and inpatient
pharmacy with an oncology focus to corporate clinical coordinator and media spokeswoman. She is now
a clinical assistant professor at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, serving as a
communication, media, and patient engagement specialist.
Dr. Garling is the principal investigator (PI) and co-PI for community pharmacy research projects
spanning telehealth, HIV PrEP, mental health, patient counseling, and medication adherence. She serves
in various leadership roles, from president to committee chair, in the Capital Area Pharmacist Association,
Texas Pharmacy Association, Fast-Track Cities HIV initiative, and the HIV Planning Council for the City of
Austin. She works with leaders from around Texas and the country to promote engagement and dialogue
between healthcare providers and community members surrounding utilizing trauma-informed care for
those experiencing childhood adversity, interpersonal violence, inequities in healthcare, and human
trafficking.
Her career pillars are focused on public activation on sensitive health topics, empowerment of underheard
voices, and innovation in health education. Dr. Garling’s expertise in stigmatized health topics such as
mental health, suicide, and substance use disorder has been recognized nationally, and she has been
nominated annually for her teaching, service, and scholarship. In 2020-21, Dr. Garling was awarded the
Dr. Carolyn Brown DEAI Champion Award and the 2021 Teaching Excellency Award in recognition of her
outstanding contributions to diversity and inclusion in pharmacy education.
Emmanuel Aniemeke , PharmD., MBA is the director of pharmacy operations at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio – Multispecialty and Research Hospital, in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Aniemeke received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemical and Biophysical sciences from the University of Houston (2009), his Doctor of Pharmacy from Texas Southern University, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (2010) and Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio, College of Business (2020). He completed a Clinical Pharmacy Postgraduate Year One residency at University Health System and The University of Texas at Austin, College of Pharmacy (2015). Dr. Aniemeke is a strategic, innovative, solutions-oriented healthcare leader, highly regarded for managing operational, financial, and human resources across multiple healthcare facilities. Dr. Rachel Andress Davis earned a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas AM University.
She successfully completed the Doctoral Program in the College of Pharmacy and Health
Sciences at Texas Southern University. Dr. Davis, PharmD, is a licensed pharmacist
currently practicing at OptumRx, where she recently has taken on an assignment with
Optum Infusion Pharmacy, navigating the world of Immunoglobulin, biologics and
biosimilar therapies.
In 2019, she launched a wellness business with Plexus Worldwide, a health and happiness
company after which, Rachel Davis Wellness was born. Soon after launching her wellness
business, Dr. Davis quickly rose to the level of top leader in the company, enabling her to
help navigate hundreds of clients through the treacherous times of a pandemic with
effective resources and continues those efforts to date. Coaching clients to achieve their
wellness goals by focusing on supporting the health of their gut microbiome through plant-
based supplementation is her primary focus.

Kei’Chara has a proven track record of optimizing inventory levels, implementing automation solutions, and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers. Her most recent role involved successfully designing and implementing an automated inventory system that significantly improved operational efficiency and reduced costs.
Kyle A. Jackson has over two and a half decades of US based pharmaceutical experience. After years of working for one of the top Pharmaceutical companies, Kyle is looking forward to sharing his experiences with PharmFest attendees in a light-hearted way.

Since then, she has taken on diverse roles in retail, 503B manufacturing, Hospital Pharmacy, 340B management, Corporate Pharmacy Purchasing, , Pharmaceutical Sales and National Account Management. Margon has worked with GPOs, Manufacturers, Distributors, Specialty Pharmacies, Outpatient facilities, and hundreds of hospitals in many different capacities.

Marvin joined S/T Health Group in 2021 and has an extensive background in clinical and operational pharmacy outcomes. His current focus at S/T Health Group is facilitating and supporting clinical outcomes and business operations. He is a graduate of the USC School of Pharmacy in Southern California and completed a clinical and hospital pharmacy management residency. Marvin worked as a trauma pharmacist before moving to home health and skilled nursing pharmacy management. With his experience as a clinical coordinator and director of pharmacy in leading hospitals, Marvin has developed pharmacy-based ambulatory care models in large physician groups and in transitional care systems. Certifications in asthma management, lipid disorders, smoking cessation, antibiotic stewardship, pain management and anticoagulation have helped strengthen his interest in always doing the right thing for the patient. Marvin has developed a nationally recognized clinical and purchasing practice and several pharmacy data analytic systems focused on purchasing, clinical, and time savings.
